NAMING, BRAND IDENTITY & STATIONARY

The Artists

The Artists is a French-based collection that promotes their own local works at an affordable price point. I had the pleasure of being involved with this project from its conception. I helped craft and design the branding across all parts of the project, establishing the brand identity, name and brand guideline before designing the stationary, packaging and website in parallel.

The brand’s concept was to provide everyday people with the rare opportunity in owning valuable and unique fine art without needing to expend a fortune. People were able to purchase pieces from lesser-known but great artists in the early stages of establishing themselves. 

The logo is a representation and visual reference to the world of an artist. The slanted ‘I’ is designed to imitate an artist sketchbook leaning on a bookshelf. This alludes to the company’s unique opportunity of knowing the artist on a personal level. Eliminating the detachment often associated with art collecting and creating a bond between the buyer and the artist.
